3D Letter Studio is professional Windows software for the automated creation of 3D letters from 2D vector files (DXF, SVG). The software generates production-ready STL files, router and laser data and was developed specifically for sign-making businesses, illuminated-sign manufacturers and 3D printing service providers.
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- Mindestens 8 GB RAM (16 GB empfohlen)
- Modern GPU recommended for 3D preview
- Internet connection required for licence activation
Import: DXF and SVG - from CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, Affinity Designer and other vector applications.
Export: STL and 3MF for 3D printers, SVG for laser cutters and CNC routers.
3D Letter Studio can automatically split large letters into multiple parts so they can also be produced on smaller print beds. The split is handled intelligently and takes later assembly fits into account.
Depending on the package, up to 10+ models are available:
- Solid Body
- Hollow Body
- Hollow Body with back panel
- Slim Corner (with groove for acrylic face)
- Back Frame (frame body with acrylic strip)
- Halo 3D (for halo lighting)

- ...and additional models that are continuously added (from Premium onward)
Yes. You can upgrade to a higher package at any time. Amounts already paid are credited pro rata. Downgrades are possible at the end of the current billing period.
After ordering, you will receive a download link and your personal licence key by email. During the first login in the software, you enter the licence key. The licence is then bound to your computer.
If you change computers, the licence can be reactivated on request.
Yes. A demo version is available so you can test all functions. Exported files in the demo contain a watermark. The trial period is 7 days.
Billing is handled via Stripe. Accepted payment methods include credit card (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX), SEPA direct debit and other common payment methods depending on the region.
All listed prices are net prices plus applicable VAT. The offer is intended exclusively for businesses (B2B).
You can manage your subscription at any time via the customer portal and cancel it at the end of the current term. Monthly billing can be cancelled monthly, yearly billing at the end of the year.
Apple macOS is not supported for now - support is planned and may arrive with one of the next updates. If you are interested, feel free to contact us at info@3d-letter-studio.de. A Linux version is currently not planned.
3D Letter Studio is a product of Medienwerk 15 GmbH from Tostedt, Germany. The software is developed from practical production experience for professional applications in sign making and 3D printing.

Getting started
After installation and activation, you can start immediately:
- Import a DXF or SVG file
- Select a letter model (for example Hollow Body, Back Frame, Slim Corner)
- Adjust parameters (wall thickness, depth, grooves, LEDs)
- Check the 3D preview
- Export STL/3MF and print
Export tips
- Check dimensions and fit for your print bed before exporting
- Use automatic splitting for large letters
- Export SVG files separately for laser cutters or CNC routers
- Always test new models with a single letter first
Known limitations
- Windows 10/11 only (64-bit)
- Internet connection required for initial activation
- Very complex vector files with many thousands of anchor points can slow down processing
